Gansett Zoning Board: The Narragansett Zoning Board of Review will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the large board room at Town Hall (25 Fifth Ave., Narragansett). Click here to view this evening's agenda.
Be a Sports Blogger! Are you crazy about Narragansett and/or South Kingstown sports? Gansett-SK Patch is looking for bloggers for the fall sports season, whether it be youth, high school, college or professional. If you're interested, or know a player, coach or parent who might be, have them send an email to email@example.com, or simply click here for all of the details and instructions!
Live Music and Dancing at The Towers: There will be live music and dancing at 7 p.m. tonight and every Thursday at The Towers in Narragansett this summer. All ages are welcome! Tonight's musical act is Slippery Sneakers, a high-energy Zydeco dance band that brings together traditional and contemporary Cajun/Zydeco roots music originating from Southwest Louisiana! Tickets are $15 per person and may be purchased at the door.
Stock Up On School Supplies! In case you haven't yet stocked up on everything that the kiddos need to start school, South County Art Supply, located at 237 Robinson Street in Wakefield, will continue to offer a 20% discount on all supplies required by area teachers (all items on your child's supply list). Quite generous considering how quickly crayons, notebooks and countless binders add up!
Back to School Night: From 6-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, families are invited to the Village Green (325 Columbia St., Peace Dale) for one last outdoor summer concert before school begins! This week's event will feature the beloved duo, Toe Jam Puppet Band, who will have everyone dancing at their seats in no time! Don't forget your chairs or blankets!
