Scramble for Scholarship Golf Tourney Today (and 4 More Things)

    Scramble for Scholarship Golf Tourney: Today at 8 a.m., Check-in will begin for the 1st Annual Scramble for Scholarship Golf Tournament sponsored by Clean Rite Cleaning & Restoration of Wakefield. The tournament will be held at Laurel Lane Country Club (309 Laurel Ln., West Kingston), and play will begin at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $500 per foursome or $125 per person, which includes a continental breakfast, greens fees, golf cart and lunch. Proceeds will benefit a scholarship fund for South Kingstown High School students. For more information, contact Andrew Constant at aconstant@cleanriteri.com.

    Star Gazing at Frosty Drew Observatory: Tonight and every Friday night at 6 p.m., get star struck at the Frosty Drew Observatory's Public Stargazing Night (61 Park Ln., Charlestown). Be sure to subscribe to the Frost Drew Observatory mailing list or follow them on Twitter (@FrostyDrewOBSY) to receive status updates about the public stargazing program. This is a free event, however donations are greatly appreciated.
