3 Community Flu Clinics in Narragansett Today (and 4 More Things)

    Community Flu Clinics: Today, Oct. 16, South County Hospital will host a number of local flu vaccination clinics in Narragansett. Clinics will be held:

    • Narragansett Elementary School (3:15-3:45 p.m.)
    • Narragansett Middle School (2:30-3 p.m.)
    • Narragansett High School (1:15-2:15 p.m.)

    Vaccinations will be available to individuals age 19 and older. Those with health insurance must bring proof of coverage. Click here for insurance and payment information.

    Walk-A-While Wednesday: From 12-1 p.m. today and each Wednesday through Dec. 4, URI's College of Human Science and Services in partnership with the Dept. of Kinesiology will host "Walk-a-While on Wednesdays".The new health initiative will be led by Kinesiology walking coaches who will guide participants through various mapped paths each session. The names of people who participate in at least eight sessions will be entered in a raffle for a free pair of sneakers from Feet First Quality Footwear.

    SK Town Notice: The second quarterly installment of taxes assessed Dec. 31, 2012, is payable on or before Nov. 1, 2013. Interest will be charged from Aug. 1, 2013, if payment is not made when due. Mail payments to: Tax Collector, 180 High Street, Wakefield, RI 02879. Be sure to include your quarterly stub with your payment.
