Langevin 'Classroom to Career' Tour in Kingston Tonight (and 4 More Things)

    "Town Hall"-style Jobs Forum: As part of his Classroom to Career tour, Congressman Jim Langevin will hold a town hall-style meeting at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Aug. 29 at Kingston Free Library. The purpose of Thursday's forum is to discuss career training and placement with local students and adults looking to move ahead in the workforce and provide an overview of legislation Langevin is currently working on. Click here to learn more.

    Free Concert at the Commons: From 6-8 p.m. this evening, head to The Village at South County Commons in South Kingstown to enjoy an evening of free live music from, the The Vinyl Grooves, a 6-piece rock and R&B band with both male and female lead vocals that covers all genres of music with a unique spin!

    Celebrate Historic Sunset Farm: Tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Narragansett Land Conservancy Trust and Narragansett Historical Society will host a special event at Sunset Farm (505 Point Judith Rd.) to celebrate the property's addition to the Historic Registry. All are welcome to attend the function, during which guests will have an opportunity to learn more about the fascinating history of Narragansett's last functional farm.     Gansett Summer Concert: Tomorrow at 6 p.m., Narragansett Beach’s Gazebo Park (25 Ocean Rd.) will feature its final free concert of the season. Thursday night's act is the "Black Tie Band" who will perform classic pop, rock and contemporary hits that spectators of all ages can enjoy! 

    Plan Ahead - Jim Gaffigan at URI: On Saturday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m., the University of Rhode Island's Ryan Center will host comedian, Jim Gaffigan with a Special Guest.
