Our Transition to College and Career program assists adult or non-traditional learners progress to post-secondary education, giving them the skills to get to college and graduate. This information session will cover our course offering and describe the application and assessment process. Course will begin January 7.
- Academic “brush-up” in reading comprehension, writing skills, elementary algebra, and arithmetic
- Technology skills needed for college communication, coursework and research
- Assistance in completing the FAFSA and other college financial aid forms
- Individual coaching
- Intensive preparation for the Accuplacer Placement Test (CCRI entrance exam)
- Study skills
- Free three-credit college class at CCRI ($500.00 value)
- Workshops designed to help students understand college services and the skills needed for success
- Connections to the CCRI Concierge Initiative and ACCESS programs

More About The Education Exchange
The Education Exchange is an adult education facility located in Building C of the Lilypads Professional Center in Peacedale. It hosts a variety of programs including family literacy, adult basic education, English fluency classes and GED preparation and testing. Additional programs include ESL and Civics, External Diploma Program (EDP), Transition to College and Career, Work Readiness, computer instruction and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).
