 DUE TO HURRICANE SANDY, THE GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING IS POSTPONED.  A NEW DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SHORTLY. 

Please join us and hear what plans the Narragansett Historical Society has for the coming year and how it is trying to preserve and promote Narragansett’s rich history.   

In addition, guest speaker Joseph Waller, Senior Archeologist with the Public Archeology Laboratory, Inc. will present Narragansett and the Narragansett: The Archaeology of Salt Pond.  Mr. Waller will report on the recent archaeological discoveries at a 1100A.D. to 1300A.D. Narragansett Indian village located at the head of Point Judith Pond.  He will discuss the historical and archaeological significance of the findings, as well as the importance of the site to the Narragansett.
