Today: Marching in, Senator's Staff, School Committee

There's one day till March, and five things to know:

Good morning Narragansett, and welcome to today's five things to know:

1) In like a lion - There's a winter storm watch in effect until 6 p.m. March 1. There will be a mix of rain and snow before 3 p.m., turning to snow later on. Less than an inch is forecast, but roads are expected to be slick overnight.

2) Senator's staff - The staffers of U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) are holding a community outreach today to help folks navigate red tape at the library from noon till 3 p.m. Residents seeking help with a specific matter should bring all appropriate contact information. RSVP online by clicking here.

 3) School Committee - The Committee meets tonight, 6 p.m., at Narragansett Town Hall. On the Narragansett School Committee agenda: The FY 2013 budget.

4) NHS spring sports - The final day for sign-ups for NHS spring sports will take place in the NHS cafeteria today. If you plan on playing a spring sport, make sure you sign up today.

5) Sgt. Pepper - On this day in 1968, the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" won a Grammy
