According to police, Reinemann consented to field sobriety tests, which he failed. Police said that at the end of the tests, Reinemann told them, “I drank and smoked but it was such a long time ago it shouldn’t have affected me.”

Reinemann was arrested without incident at this point. Police said an inventory of the car revealed a juice bottle, which contained a mixture of alcohol and orange juice.

According to police, Reinemann refused to submit to chemical breath tests at headquarters, but noted that he was polite, telling them, “Thanks you guys for being cool about all this, but I’m really sorry.”

Police said Reinemann was processed and then released at about 7 a.m.

Police said that during the transport to headquarters, the teen told them repeatedly that he wasn’t speeding because he had a video camera with a radar detector.

He also allegedly told officers that “we will see what happens when this goes to court, I’ll get off,” and that he “just needs to talk to his lawyer.” He allegedly added, “Well good for you, I’m sure this will look good on your resume, or whatever you have.”

According to police, the teen also asked repeatedly that police not call his parents, and asked whether they had “a warrant or probable cause to go through his cell phone.” Police said that the boy’s parents were called, but his cell phone was not accessed at any point.
