Funeral services have been scheduled for an 18-year-old North Kingstown woman with family in Narragansett who passed away in Sunday's early morning crash in East Greenwich.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Madeline "Maddie" Healey is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church for relatives and family. Visiting hours are slated for 4 to 8 p.m. at Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home on Friday.
Born in Providence, Healey was a 2011 graduate of North Kingstown High School and was attending CCRI in hopes of pursuing her dream of working with children. She also worked at Beach Rose Cafe. (Click here to read blogger Amy Feucht's piece about Maddie and her co-workers.) According to her obituary, Healey loved making people laugh, going to the beach and always had a flair for fashion.
Healey leaves behind parents James E. Healey and Kecia (Knight) Courtemanche; step-parents Lori Wagner and David Courtemance; siblings Meghan, Emily, Sophie and Jack Healey of North Kingstown and Heather Courtemanche of Coventry and Robert Courtemanche of Warwick; grandparents Alton and Lillian Healey of Narragansett, Fred and Maureen Heise of North Kingstown and Florida, and step-granddmother Carol Wagner of North Kingstown along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
