According to police, an officer responded to Pier Liquors after receiving a report of a highly intoxicated woman on a bench. Police said that Cambra was there, proclaiming that she was the voodoo queen, and they noted that she had painted her arms and face.

When police asked a rescue to respond to evaluate, they said Cambra screamed and said that she was the voodoo queen and that she would never be taken to a hospital.

Because of her uncooperative and intoxicated state, she was arrested and transported to headquarters. She was released after processing at 7 p.m.

At about 7:43 a.m. on June 18, police responded to Caswell Street for reports of Cambra screaming in the parking lot. Police noted that she appeared to be hallucinating, but she again refused a transport to the hospital or a mental health facility.

However, at 9:47 a.m., police were again called to Caswell Street. Police said Cambra appeared to be in another trance, and was screaming, “Die ************, die, die!” Police noted that she was oblivious to their presence, and was swearing in front of several children in the area too.

Cambra was arrested again for disorderly conduct at this point. At about 10:15 a.m., she finally agreed to undergo a mental health evaluation, and she was transported to South County Hospital.

Woonsocket Motorcyclist Cited for Revving Engine

Brad J. Fugere, 33, of 155 Knight St., Woonsocket, was cited at about 6:25 p.m. on June 17 and charged with excessive vehicle noise.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Ocean Road near the seawall heard a motorcycle revving its engine excessively while it was passing under the Towers. The officer noted that the exhaust was excessive even though he was five telephone poles away.

A traffic stop was made at the officer’s location. The driver – Fugere – was cited and allowed to drive from the scene.

North Providence Teen Cited for Public Urination

Christopher Spertini, 18, of 630 Smithfield Road, North Providence, was cited at about 11:40 p.m. on June 16 and charged with public urination.

According to police, an officer patrolling traffic at St. Mary’s Church on Point Judith Road saw a car pull into a spot at Cumberland Farms. The officer then saw the driver – Spertini – get out of the car and urinate on the side of the building.

When asked about this, police said Spertini told them, “I’m sorry about pissing on the building and didn’t see you until it was too late.” He was issued a citation for public urination and allowed to drive from the scene.

Cumberland Farms was open at the time and has a public restroom.

North Kingstown Woman Cited for Transportation of Alcohol by a Minor

Jacqueline V. Essex, 20, of 288 South County Trail, North Kingstown, was cited at about 12:27 a.m. on June 16 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said Essex is a student at the Community College of Rhode Island.

According to police, an officer traveling behind Essex’s car on Boston Neck Road near Bonnet Shores Road noted that the rear plate light was defective, and that the plate border covered up her registration sticker. A traffic stop was made on Bridgetown Road near Lakeside Drive.

Police noted the strong smell of marijuana in the car during the traffic stop. Essex told police there was a small amount, but police said it was not enough to field test.

However, there were several bottles of Guinness beer in the car. Essex was cited for transportation of alcohol by a minor as a result. She was also warned for the defective light, and advised to remove the plate border because it covered the registration sticker.
