Gansett’s Wade Celebrates 25 Years of Bahamas
Jim Wade of Narragansett and several others from Rhode Island have made the trip to the Bahamas for 25 years now.

The "Crazy Eights" golf group, were cited by the Grand Bahama Tourist Office for accumulating more than 3,000 room night visits on Grand Bahama Island over the past 25 years.

Director of Tourism Karen F. Seymour said, “The Ministry of Tourism and the Grand Bahama Community value the contribution to the economy of destination over the many years, and we look forward to your continued patronage.”
She noted that Ministry Officials celebrated with the group five years ago on the 20th Anniversary and look forward to celebrating the upcoming 30th in 2018. Newly appointed Junior Minister of Tourism for Grand Bahama, Vashti Charlton, was on hand to present the certificates of appreciation.
The retired executives made their maiden voyage to Grand Bahama Island in 1988 for a golf experience, and have returned each year for 10 days for the golf, gaming and fellowship with local friends, including golf pro Jimmy Delancey and transportation professional Jackson Wilchcombe. The Manager of the Ruby Golf Course, Llewellyn Kellman, was added to the inner circle five years ago.
