Nail that interview: Work readiness training, held every Tuesday and Thursday, returns today at 1 p.m. for job seekers in need of polishing their job search, interview and resume skills. The session is held at 33 North Rd # C-1, Wakefield, RI 02879.

Sing, sing a song... URI is holding open rehearsals for singers of all stripes for the University Chorus. The chorus meets Tuesday nights from 7–9:45pm while URI is in session.

Kimberly Fry trial: The murder trial of Kimberly Fry, charged with killing her daughter, continues today in Wakefield. Fry is accused of strangling her 8-year-old daughter after a temper tantrum over taking a bath.

Auspicious launch: According to Brainyhistory.com, on this day in 1797 the US frigate Constitution, nicknamed Old Ironsides, was launched in Boston.
