District Court Logs: March 27 to April 3, 2012

Several defendants went before the judge in Fourth Division District Court the past week.

WAKEFIELD - The following cases were heard before Judge Mary E. McCaffrey in Fourth Division District Court at the , 4800 Tower Hill Road, South Kingstown:

  • Seth A. Wine, 24, 10 Edwards Ave. Apt. 11, Narragansett, pleaded not guilty to domestic assault and possession of marijuana. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance pending a hearing on April 12.
  • Dominic H. Walmsley, 41, of 188 High St., South Kingstown, pleaded not guilty to driving with a suspended license. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance pending a hearing on May 10.
  • Travis T. Johnson, 31, of 112 River St., South Kingstown, pleaded no contest to simple assault. He was sentenced to a one-year suspended sentence, a year of probation, to have no contact with the victim and to pay court costs.
  • Jeremy J. Brady, 22, of 737 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, pleaded no contest to driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a $750 fine plus court costs and to have no further loss of his license.
  • Matthew Koo Ruane Carothers, 25, of 90 Meadow Tree Farm Road, South Kingstown, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance on April 12.
  • Haley A. Cherry, 18, of 12 Atlantic Ave., Warwick, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, BAC unknown. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance pending a hearing on April 12.
  • Vincent R. Vicario, 25, of 30 Briarbrooke Lane, Cranston, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct. The charge was filed for one year and he was ordered to have no contact with Dunkin' Donuts on Fortin Road, plus he was ordered to pay court costs.
  • Steven E. Briggs, 30, of 92 Ram Island Road, Charlestown, pleaded no contest to reckless driving. He was sentenced to serve six months of probation, contribute $500 to the VCIF, forfeit his license for 30 days retroactive to Jan. 13, and to pay court costs.
  • Dennis Robert Clary, 49, of 400 Main St. Apt. C, South Kingstown, pleaded not guilty to driving with a suspended license. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance pending a hearing on April 12.
  • Bertrand E. Gardiner, 57, of 235 Biscuit City Road, Charlestown, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence, BAC greater than .15. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine, complete 20 hours of community service, forfeit his license for three months, complete DWI school and assessments and pay court costs.
  • Charles A. Schultz, 47, of 46 Kersey Road Apt. A, Wakefield, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, second offense within five years. He was released on $2,000 bail with surety, ordered to undergo substance abuse and alcohol counseling, not to consume alcohol and not to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Anthony M. Randall, 22, of 2 Joy Lane, Narragansett, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine, complete 20 hours of community service, forfeit his license for three months, complete DWI school and assessments.
  • Siena Henry, 21, of 423 Bridgetown Road, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence, BAC greter than .15. She was ordered to pay a $500 fine, complete 20 hours of community service, forfeit her license for three months, complete DWI school, assessments and pay court costs.
  • Jose Ariel Giron Galvez, 43, of 356 Ocean Road, Narragasett, pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of driving without a license. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine.
  • Kevin E. Cormier, 19, of 5 Shippen Ave., Warwick, pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of assault. The charge will be filed for one year, and Cormier was ordered to pay $100 in restitution.
  • Jason M. Phillips, 35, of 7 Priscilla Ave., Wareham, MA, pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of driving with a suspended license. He was ordered to pay a $250 fine.
  • Kristen Racquer, 28, of 25 Old Pine Road, Narragansett, pleaded no contest to a Narragansett police charge of driving while intoxicated. She was ordered to pay a $500 fine and $725.50 in assessments, to serve six months probation, to surrender her license for three months and to complete 20 hours of community service.
  • A Narragansett police charge of transportation of alcohol by a minor against Kevin A. McElroy, 20, of 55 Orlando Drive, Narragansett, was dismissed. According to court records, the charge was dismissed in return for a $300 donation to the VCIF.
  • A Narragansett police charge of obstruction against Shane Gerrit Hulstyn, 19, of 95 Rector St., East Greenwich, was dismissed. According to court records, the charge was dismissed in return for a $200 donation to the VCIF.
