Citizens Bank Gives Out Backpacks at YMCA

Citizens Bank colleagues recently distributed backpacks filled with new school supplies to campers at the South County YMCA as part of Citizens’ Gear for Grades program.

Gear for Grades is a partnership with Back to School of Rhode Island, Coast to Coast Promotional Products and 92 PRO-FM. New school supplies were collected at Citizens Bank branches across Rhode Island, helping to relieve the burden of back-to-school shopping for local parents.

Since 2003, Gear for Grades has provided more than 200,000 children with new backpacks and school supplies. In Rhode Island, the program has helped more than 46,000 children. This year, 15,000 Rhode Island students received backpacks.
