[CHAT] URI Looks to Right FT Woes vs. Vermont

The Rams have lost two games at the free throw line now, and look to reverse the trend with a 2 p.m. game with Vermont.

The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team looks for its second win of the season 2 p.m. Saturday, as the Vermont Catamounts come to the Ryan Center.

The Rams will look to bounce back from a tough 55-52 loss to George Mason University on Wednesday.

URI had the game in hand at various points, but a lack of precision from the free throw line cost them. The Rams finished 13-for-26 from the free throw line, and they’re shooting 60.2 percent for the year from the stripe.

From that preview, historically the Rams have dominated Vermont. URI holds a 40-7 record against the Catamounts. But if Vermont is going to gain ground in the series, this could be the year, as the Rams are rebuilding and the Catamounts are 4-1.

We will be starting the live chat right around 2 p.m., which is when tip-off is scheduled for.
