5 THINGS: Yoga, Track and Other Things

These facts will no doubt rock your socks and change your mind for the rest of your life. Well, failing that, maybe just today.

Here are the Five Things for Thursday, January 5, 2012:

Let’s not go steal some pic-ah-nick baskets. At 6:30 p.m. today, the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library will be hosting . Wear comfy clothes, and bring a mat and water.

Indoor track is still happening, Bob Saget or no. In case you were distracted by the picture of Danny Tanner yesterday, there is indeed a girls’ indoor track meet today up in Providence. For more information, check out yesterday’s Five Things right .

“No teacher shall be held accountable if Bart Simpson dies…” – Bart reading the Springfield Elementary School charter. Since I’m reusing material from past Five Things, why not reuse some Simpsons quotes? Good times! Just like the last time I used a town charter quote, the Charter Review Committee is at 6 p.m. today at town hall. You might want to go, just to make sure they don’t put in an anti-YourChild’sNameHere policy, or so that they don’t give away .

It’s National Bird Day! Seriously, according to Wikipedia, it is. Practice some ornithology with your friends. (Note: I’m not linking to “ornithology,” because honestly, if you can’t get it from the context of the sentence, you’re probably not the bird-watching type in the first place.)

Happy birthday, Kristin Cavallari! You know, when you debuted on the in 2004 in Laguna Beach, I bet a lot of people thought you were scraping the bottle of the barrel, and your stardom was a sign of a coming talent abyss for television. Luckily though, Jersey Shore came along in 2009, and suddenly, you look like a brain surgeon compared to Snooki. Congratulations for keeping it classy! (p.s. Lauren Conrad is still better.)
