5 THINGS: Shakespare and Kevin James, Same Guy
Check out the hot happenings in Narragansett and South Kingstown today.
Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, April 26:
Huzzah! There will be an Arbor Day celebration for the tykes at Peace Dale Library today, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is free, and they’ll have stories about trees, and the kids will get to take home a bird feeder. Cool!
Employee of the Year! The Narragansett School District will hold its Employee of the Year program tonight at the Towers, at 6 p.m. Catering will be by Arturo Joe’s, and tickets cost $25. Reservations are required, so click here for the number and what not, to see if you can sneak in.
Register for Narragansett summer camp! Narragansett Parks and Recreation is now taking registrations for its summer camp program, which begins June 25. The cost is $135, and the camp typically runs into late August.
Note: Not about old phones. The Rotary Club of Wakefield meets at Liliana’s Italian Restaurant at 12:15 p.m. today. For more information, click here.
Work, work, work. The Narragansett Town Council, fresh off a 3.5-hour meeting Monday night, and another session Tuesday night, and another meeting Wednesday night, will host a work session on the budget tonight, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Blog blog blog blog blogggggg. At Narragansett-South Kingstown Patch, we’re always looking for new bloggers, despite our obnoxiously long name. If you’d like free exposure for your existing blog, or simply want to start writing, feel free to shoot an email to Stephen.greenwell@patch.com to get the process started. You can write about WHATEVER you’d like!
Congrats to the bard! On this day in 1564, it is believe that Bill Shakespeare was baptized.
Happy birthday, Kevin James! Wikipedia says you’re now 47. It also says you’re a comedian though, which is playing it a bit loose and fast as well though…
