Here are the (more than) Five Things for Thursday, May 10, 2012:
It might never actually stop raining. Shirley Manson is probably happy with this development, but for the rest of us, meh. It’s supposed to continue raining on and off today, with maybe a bit of snow in the afternoon, before raining some more tomorrow. Luckily, the weekend forecast is clear (although I probably just jinxed things by saying that, sorry).
There probably actually is some nonsense at Nunsense, just as a warning. The production is being staged at the Courthouse Center for the Arts in West Kingston at 7 p.m. tonight. Tickets are $15. For more information, click here.
Veterans – Join American Legion! Post #39 is hosting its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at the Guild. The meeting is open to any U.S. veteran that would like to join the legion and help out the community.
Note: Not about old phones. The Rotary Club of Wakefield meets at Liliana’s Italian Restaurant at 12:15 p.m. today. For more information, click here.
Something appropriate for the tiny kids! Feel free to take the kids to the 2-to-3-year-old story time at Maury Lootjens Memorial Library. Drop-ins are welcome, but please register ahead of time if you can. The fun starts at 10:30 a.m.
Register for Narragansett or South Kingstown summer camp! Narragansett Parks and Recreation is now taking registrations for its summer camp program, which begins June 25. The cost is $135, and the camp typically runs into late August. South Kingstown is also holding registrations, and to see their summer camp guide, go here.
Blog blog blog blog blogggggg. At Narragansett-South Kingstown Patch, we’re always looking for new bloggers, despite our obnoxiously long name. If you’d like free exposure for your existing blog, or simply want to start writing, feel free to shoot an email to Stephen.firstname.lastname@example.org to get the process started. You can write about WHATEVER you’d like!
