5 Things: Parents Coucil, Chamber Meeting and Hoops
Five things for Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012:
1. Not sure how to handle you teenagers? Overwhelmed with your toddlers? Got something to share about you parenting experience?
The Parents Council meets today at 10:30 p.m. at Brewed Awakenings in South County Commons. Join members in asking questions and discussing the pitfalls and pleasures of parenting.
2. Fit in a little networking with the Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Business Expo at 6 p.m. at 650 North Quidnesset Road, North Kingstown.
With special guest speaker Ernest A. Almonte Chairman, of the Department of Defense Audit Advisory Committee and the former Rhode Island auditor general, former chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
3. The Affordable Housing Collaborative Committee will meet today at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall, 180 High St., Wakefield.
4. Looking for a little action? Come out and support one of your local high school teams today and your sure to catch a little:
- The South Kingstown High School boys' basketball team takes to the courts today against Cranston High School East. The varisty teams face off at 7 p.m. in an away game, 899 Park Ave., Cranston. Junior varsity hoops start at 5:30 p.m.
5. Skies will be cloudy today with a fourty percent chance of rain. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs in the mid-40s and patches of fog rolling in overnight.
