5 THINGS: Hobbits, Farmers and Audio Revival
Start your weekend on the right note.
Here are the (more than) Five Things for Friday, September 21, 2012:
Mmm, how delicious! The Goddard State farmers’ market meets every Friday at 9 a.m.
Live music! Audio Revival is live at the Ocean Mist at 8 p.m. tonight. Tickets are $10.
Space – the final frontier. You can observe space for free from the Frosty Drew Center in Charlestown, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s the first day of Mabon for Neopaganism. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).
Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know!
Read it now, before Peter Jackson makes it a way overwrought three-part saga! On this day in 1937, The Hobbit was released. (And yes, Jackson is planning to make it a three-part movie, even though the book is only about 250 to 300 pages.)
“Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhh!” – The Who. Happy 67th birthday to Jerry Bruckheimer, the man behind a ton of stuff – Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and of course, CSI.
