5 THINGS: Events and Kelly Ripa and Peanuts

Check out some fun events goin’ on Tuesday, or better yet, suggest some to us!

Here are the (more than) Five Things for Tuesday, October 2, 2012:

Mmm, fresh produce. The Marina Park farmers’ market is at 2 p.m.

Learn to right gooder. There is a five-week writing workshop with professor Nancy Shuster at Peace Dale Library at 2 p.m. (Obviously, it’s one class per week, not five weeks in one day in Quantum Leap fashion.)

Oh no! Maybe there seriously aren’t that many events today, given that it’s Batik Day in Indonesia. As a result, our events calendar for today is a bit barren. If you’re having an event, please let us know in the comments. Also, make sure it isn’t left out in the future – Submit it via this link (as long as you’re logged into your Patch account).

Sign up for our daily newsletter! Hey, I realize we have a lot of neat features and knick-knacks on the site, so it can be confusing to keep up with it all. Want just one simple, easy to read daily digest? Sign up for our e-mail newsletter here then. It comes out between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. roughly, every single day of the week. Amazing, I know!

Good grief! On this day in 1950, Peanuts was first published.

Oh, you’re so charming! Happy 42nd birthday to Kelly Ripa! You’re so charming, like the female version of Regis, just with three kids.
