The business of government business. The Narragansett Planning Board at 6 p.m. This might shock you, but the meeting is at town hall. (Weird, I know.)

Blogging, events, letters, what more could you want? Many people often ask me, “Hey are you the Patch guy?” And the answer is yes, yes I am. Then, most often they want to know how they can get things on the site. Let me present you with three options:

  • The easiest way for me is if you use our blog form. If you have a user account, congrats! You can submit directly to our queue by going here. For more info on blogging, go here.

  • If you think your item is more appropriate for the events calendar, that's a simple enough process as well. Go here, and then hit the “Add An Event” button at the bottom of the page. (Note: You might want to search for your event first, since we do have a calendar editor that adds things on her own awesome initiative.)

  • Finally, do you need some input before posting? Or do you have a release that is more of a traditional “letter to the editor” thing? Fine then – send it along to me, either at stephen.greenwell@patch.com or narragansett@patch.com.

  • Happy Father's Day, again! On this day in 1910, the first Father's Day was celebrated in Spokane, WA.

Happy birthda- holy smokes, you're 45 now??? Uh, yes, Mia Sara, the fresh-faced starlet in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is now 45. This makes me feel old.
